DECLAMATORY – Nevolution

Hailing from Berlin, Germany, these cats got together in summer 2000 dubbed themselves as DECLAMATORY. Being still young these guys are very busy with touring and recording, now coming up with their fifth demo release Nevolution.
Musically they blend power metal with thrash metal added by a significant note of the glorious 80’s. Singing is clean and the productions kicks powerfully ass, which is quite surprising. On the other hand riffing and melodies are downright classic and thus not really inventive. Another little flaw might be the English pronunciation, identifying them as typical Germans.
Opening track Subconscious Mind Destruction is the highlight on this CD, convincing with varied and fast thrash metal attacks and powerful riffing. Title track Nevolution and Predator’s Prey follow same roots but cannot reach the level of the opener. With Desire/Despair the gents dabble in a semi-ballad which turns out to be quite rockin’ as well.
All things considered Nevolution has to be another promising demo with talented young musicians who just need to build up an own identity musically. Way to go! \m/
