Time has come
to review a demo album and DECEMBER FLOWER came across
my path so I gave them a listen and discovered a very promising
metal act. The melodic death metal style they promote is one not
on my favorite, but I must admit these guys managed to keep my
attention and I was more than happily surprised upon hearing Moloch.
Fall Of Man starts off with great energy and a rhythm that
keeps you alert. The lead guitar just mesmerizes ones hearing
and it's pretty hard not to go with the flow and headbang your
way in the safety of your abode.
Haunted By Horror is the second one on the Moloch
play list and for some reason it brings back in mind In Flames.
All the instruments seem to fit together very well and the outcome
of this combination is just great. I dare say this is the best
track of the album.
As minutes pass we come across Utopia and Moloch
both as fast and one the same style as the others before. One
can find the same determination to spreading melodic death metal
into the world.
Despise Your Life begins in force, having the same energy
as the whole material. The style is the same, uncompromising and
force featured.
The last track on this demo album, A New Day's Dawn, is
an instrumental one. In its slow but beautiful mood makes one
calming down from all the adrenaline produced while listening
to the tracks before. It's nothing you've expected Moloch
to end with, but it's a great work.
I must say that this album sounds really good; the production
was done as it ought to have been and I truly believe that if
these guys keep it on the same track they will make it through.
This was the best surprise of the week and personally I know I
will definitely check out DECEMBER FLOWER from now on.
