Having reviewed some bands of extreme metal and not so extreme metal a music reviewer’s world can be tough at times due to certain musical submissions that come my way for critiquing. Being honest here this current release by DAEMONLORD has to be one of the many that stands out to be the hardest to rate. Being fair in all music I try to give an honest opinion based upon my own listening observations as with Of War and Hate this current CD by this band has to be thee most refreshing of it’s kind that I have came across in the aspects of underground black metal. Don’t get me wrong for I am sure there are tons of others that are equally as good if not better but there is just something different about DAEMONLORD that compels my listening tastes to further explore this highly eclectic group.

Musically this band can be labeled just another black metal outfit considering this band consists of only two masterminds creating a powerful onslaught for a band of six, they sure more than make up for the other counterparts. Now that is what I call true to their musical craft despite the lack of members. Songs in this albums length are approached well done displaying some fast dark guitars with vocals that can only be described as menacing. Strong musical tracks are Driven By Darkness And Sorrow, In The Middle Of Infinity And Pure Sorrow And Hate. Overall a good release but the downfall is the album duration of song compositions. A killer release for the extreme metal head, a must have!
