Seems someway to be undetermined, what the Italians from CONVERGENCE are producing here. The sound is between cheesy Nu-Metal and standard alternative Rock, with a tendency to Gothic Heavy Metal.
The whole thing is mixed with electronic experiments, some extras and once in a while some noisy guitar bursts, but too often those guys are drifting to pathetic, pop alternative rock, which draws a bad picture especially with the (good, but stereotype) vocals. If the lead singer stayed with his “I want to sound like Phil Anselmo” style, the above mentioned flaw would not have been so bad.
No question, the album is to no end diversified. There is a whole spectrum of moods covered and technically well made, but coming not really to any point. This album is for people, who like the quieter songs of Pantera, love Pearl Jam and those who like to party to embarrassments such as the Farmer Boys or Gothic Rock kitsch. Anyway, nothing for me.
And POST-METAL? What the hell should this be??? The information of the band is only in Italian, so there is little to say about them. Sorry, only 4 points, more is not possible.
