With the promo-picture the feeblemindedness starts, with the music it stops what Holland’s CHEESY is fabricating here. Already name and cover make me presume that I might have to deal with a pseudo-humoristic band which tries to get into the spotlight with a lot of tomtom and forced fun. 100% right. What expects me is a pick ‘n’ mix-Crossover from Nu- to Death Metal, based on funpunk and mingled with Funk and Jazz. Alright, perhaps I am not the ideal person to review this stuff, but this crap is simply unnecessary. It seems like the four guys would like to sound like System of a Down in their beginning, but CHEESY are missing any kind of system structure. Mixing styles may be a sign of creativitiy but randomly throwing various riffs into a pot doesn’t prove any ability of good songwriting. Technically they are versatile, no question, but they lack in putting it into practice. Perhaps the quartett should think of becoming a bit more homogen in the future, then they might make it. But what remains here is a boring and - above all - bugging mixture of Korn, Faith No More, Carcass and Blink 182. To be handled with caution!
