Rome was not built in a day. Hailing from Switzerland their own death metaller known as CENSORED are already around since 1994, though, they just released their second demo release with System Disease. For that they attached great importance to quality, instead of unleashing just half worked out goods in bulk no one would have been aware of.
However, System Disease fully convinces! That is a demo release, where everything is on the right place, in the right time. Almost perfect! System Disease offers a brutal and powerful production, skilled musicians and a well-designed cover and booklet plus profound lyrics... what more you can get? Four brute tracks with partly raving blast parts, partly progressive elements and all destroying riff work. Great! ;) Regarding the singing, raw screaming dominates with deep growls in between as second voice. But I actually do not know where the growls come from. It might be the “alter ego” of singer and 4-stringer Manuel or one of the other members. Anyways, thrashings never gains the upper hand, everything is well-balanced and pleases the listener. Even more! It should not take more than 30 seconds to get the people freakin’ out ;)
System Disease gets added by a bonus track, a pure piano played instrumental, really beautiful, fragile and morbid. A classic funeral march adaptation with the lovely suiting title This Cold World Is Dead.
