"This
is the band you wouldn't want to miss" - hm, well, I would
not be sure about that. With Triple Six Blues
BOOGIEMAN have released a solid but in no way sticking
out debut album. Like their name already makes me assume, the band
is performing Rock'n'Roll that becomes a bit more "metallic"
due to the dirty sound. I must admit that the four guys a writing
lots of good riffs and especially Hellvis fits perfectly to their
musical style and is reminding me of Rob Zombie. Unfortunately there
are also lots of filler stuff within the songs. A standing out track
is In Hell, switching from high energy Rock to nearly ballad-tunes
after 2 minutes. A lack of ideas seems to be the second half of
the album with no interesting moments except for the epic and elegic
Infinity. BOOGIEMAN have potential, but
on Triple Six Blues they have not used
it the right way I think. Let's see what the future brings... |
