The Swedish war-machine is back! BOMBSTRIKE chop us the crust from the pus with their second album Born Into This – Crustcore is program! First of all and after the intro I have to mention the bad sound – and this is the only downer. The Helterskelter Studios and the Underworld Studios, who are responsible for the mix, should have taken more care, as the result is a sludgy and fungous sound. But maybe one thought: “fuck yeah – this is Crust!” And this is what BOMBSTRIKE live excessively on this release. Vocalist Kraister sounds as if someone fixed his bollocks with a hot caliper! He’s shouting on and on with his gravely voice – it seems that his lung is perforated. Another Choice and Religion Of The Lost is improved by Kenta from the Stockholm Punks Nödvärn. The typical Crustattitude isn’t missed in any track of course. At least I can recognize this in the English written songs; my Swedish isn’t really the best. The Charles Bukowski poem to Born Into This fits very well to this attitude, it is cited in the intro. Rounded by the cover, a man has to go his difficult way through the world. The music can be placed somewhere between Skitsystem or Wolfbrigade. Typical riffs, creaking guitars and a rumbling bass are given in each of the 13 tracks. Even if BOMBSTRIKE do not belong to the “real big” of the Crustscene, songs like Resigned, Stasilakejer or Sunrise – Cash In/Cash Out own definitely a 10 of 10 points potential. Last one is will be also a pleasure for every early Extreme Noise Terror fan. A mangy 8 for a mangy album.
