It took a
long time till the Polish let their first full-length output off
upon mankind – eight years, to be exactly. Since their founding
in 1999 they spend most of the time by releasing demos, split-releases,
playing gigs and with line-up changes. But this lead time didn’t
do any harm.
Let Him Die – no difficult task
to figure out who BLOODTHIRST want to see passing
;) Titles like (Upon The Cross) Tormented And Lost, Crush
The Bastard Nazarene or Excommunion (Sacrifice For Hell)
attach the inverted cross. Those of you whose mouth is bloodying
and who styled with corpsepaint while awaiting pure Black Metal
can remove the make up. The program is dominated by Thrash Metal
with discreet leanings to Black Metal. The rough sound reminds
me of old Kreator and God Dethroned. Yes, one is temporarily waiting
for the one or other shouted Tormentor by the vocalist with the
soft name “Rambo”. The way BLOODTHIRST
practice Thrash Metal glisters through and through by its old
school image. No matter if that are the riffs, the regular solos
or the drumming, it’s the particular song structure which
gives the charm of the eighties. God Dethroned comes into play
when the typical melodies are played in the continuously fast
songs - these kinds of melodies the Dutch guys are smashing. Similarity
of voices cannot be dismissed either. Winds Of Death or
Violent Hordes are very good examples for this. Never
mind! The most important fact is: BLOODTHIRST
take no prisoners at any songs! Even if the sound is not crystal
clear – even if Let Him Die doesn’t
bear the right hit… every song is bashed right into your
marrow. Solid stuff!
