Inspired by the great life show BEHEMOTH brought on their tour I decided to buy this CD and after listening to it a few times I can say, it was a good decision.
The guys from Poland continue what they have started on their last CD. It's definitely nothing for people who enjoy slow and soft rhythms, Infernos qualities in drumming are really infernal. Nergals voice is accompanied by full speed drums and brutal guitar riffs in a perfect way through the 8 songs of the CD ... and the hidden track you find after "song" 93 ( What an intelligent idea to put on so many "2-seconds-of-nothing" songs…). Nergals voice sounds brutal and has nothing in common with the screamed vocals a lot of black metal fans are using, sometimes it reminds me a bit of old Morbid Angel. A very representative song for the album is the second one LAM, which has all the typical elements BEHEMOTH are using on this CD. Brutal, fast parts are combined with slow, melodical ones, so it's not getting boring, but sometimes the same guitar riffs come again in several songs, just a bit varied. The final and best song of the CD Chant for EXHATON 2000 is a bit different from the others, starting with a thorough guitar rif

f you can't get out of your head for a while, it's just the right song to complete this album (if you don't count the hidden track). BEHEMOTH did definitely great work and because I think it's not a typical Black Metal album I guess also people who like fast riffs and brutal drumming will like it.
