Endless
highways, an open pickup, temperatures close the boiling point,
seedy bars and iced Southern Comfort or Jack Daniels respectively
… that’s the stuff southern legends are made of and
ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER. Heavy Southern Rawk full of energy and Rock’n’Roll, a bit Blues underlaid and lots of old AC/DC. ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER mostly range in moderate pace, adding an overwhelming power and drive to the band’s groove. After just one EP (Southern Fried Rock) in 2002 these cats offer a debut album that outshines some established bands. Even the Nashville Pussy’s hated to enter the stage after them. This album rocks earth! This kind of music isn’t really my pidgin, but it caught me latest with Dirt Road White Girl (grandiose title, even available as T-Shirt ;)). And Natural Progression … that kicks so fucking ass! The distinct voice of singer Dave Slocum is also the only one little flaw I could find, since it always in the foreground and dominating everything. Anyway, is there any chance to see them performing live, no matter what happens – DON’T MISS IT! |
