Formed from the ashes of their former bands, guitarists Ethan and Ramsey (ex Prelue To Damnation) came together to create one of the most brutal, vicious, and relentless forms of black metal America has ever seen. After several months of hard work, the duo released their first demo under the guise of APOTHEOSYS. Featuring 7 tracks of pure blasphemy; their release found its way into the hands of bassist Rob and drummer Zac. Now with a full line-up the band was ready to start work on their EP The Fall And The Triumph released by Profane Records. Sadly in the early months of 2004, Ramsey parted ways with the band; but like any other great band they moved on. Later, long-time friend of the band, James, was recruited to lay down the low-endand Rob would move over to guitar. Although, this line-up would not last long; Rob stepped down from guitar duties. Finally the guitar position was finally filled by ex Darkmoon, Envenom Thy Winds guitarist Trent McCall. Now that the band is a full working line-up they are working hard on a new yet untitled release; but in the meantime, we still have the original EP to keep banging our heads to.

Blasphemy has never been this amazing. The Fall… begins - an intro into darkness: battle drums, chimes, horns, strings, flowing into some of the most intricate black metal ever witnessed. This is Immortal on crack, Myrkskog turned up to 11 and puts Emperor to shame. Track 2 Torn From Enlightenment takes technical to a while new level and slays any impressions that good black metal only comes from Scandinavia. Drummer Zac puts Frost to shame and makes Hellhammer and Trym look like the drummer for Backstreet Boys-beating his skins with the furry of Satan himself. The drum work on track 4 Enshrouded: The Fog Of War, is phenomenal! Guitarists Ethan and Ramsey shred anything that’s left of your face. Beautifully obscene is their guitarwork. How the bloody hell bassist James keeps up with the furious, uncontrollable, malice-riden chords is a feat all its own. Thundering along with Thor's Hammer in his hands, James fills the low end with masterfully performed art. The Fall And The Triumph is no run-of-the-mill black metal album, this is the end of the world shit. I would bet my black heart this will be playing at Armageddon.
