After E 605 perished for some reason in 2004, mastermind Carsten Schluch, his mate K@I and two additional musicians by the name of J.F. and Dread, devoted themselves to another creative process: the ACT OF CREATION. Now they come up with their first physical result entitled: Secret Memoirs Of A Forced Fate.

Though ACT OF CREATION remain true to themselves. They just went deeper, extended the stylistic width, diversified and elaborated their approach as in E 605. Secret Memoirs Of A Forced Fate offers a modern blend of Thrash and Death Metal and some Core-influences. As it is characteristic for this brand, this record is filled with brutal and energetic grooves and rhythms that sees you headbanging all time, powerful riffing, breaks and hooklines that get stuck in your ears (even if displeasing, while to often used). Singing varies from deep-throated growls up to Core-like shouting and diffident tries of clean singing. Tracks kick ass violently, especially the middle part consisting of The Fields Of Death, At Hell’s Door (which btw. Sounds much like Hypocrisy), Haunted By Visions and Cursed hit on me. Furthermore, Secret Memoirs Of A Forced Fate got treated with a powerful and brutal production. Seems like ACT OF CREATION have done everything right for a successful kickoff. Knowing that this genre is somewhat of overcrowd the gents put much effort into this record to leave an impact and to stand out a little from the masses. But they did not succeed entirely, there are parts that still sound too stereotype in this matter. All things considered ACT OF CREATION though released an impressing debut record. Well-done guys!
