Is there anyone who can tell me why I have this feeling while listening to Marionette, the second album of the French/German collaboration AMARTIA that I have heard everything much better and more intense from The Gathering? The entire record sounds like a cheap copy of that Dutch prog band. After a fairly boring the much too long Ignorance opens an album that simply doesn’t offer any exciting moments. For independence you will seek useless as well. Surprends-moi then begins to get on nerves a little bit. The drums in the beginning of Come Back From Heaven sounds extremely to a Casio drum computer. Shit. AMARTIA belong to those bands who try feverish to be progressive but they are damned boring at the same time. That’s nothing!
