ACID DRINKERS
is a band which has a long history in Poland and not only. They
formed in 1986 as a Thrash Metal band with some Crossover influences
and have come so far as being now one of the cult bands in Poland
metal scene.
Verses
Of Steel is theirs latest full length album and unfortunately
I just now got my hands on such a great piece of metal. The album
was released in 2008 in Poland though Mystic Productions and got
to the European market only in April 2009, though Regain Records.
The album is compact and one heavy piece of Thrash Metal. There
isn’t much I can tell about the downside of the album, since
all is perfectly combined. The must raw Thrash Metal sounds combined
with some Crossover themes in the guitars as well as in the vocals.
The highlight
of the album are Fuel Of My Soul, Silver Meat Machine
and Blues Beatdown, which happens to be the last and longest
track on the album, compiling over 7 minutes of sheer madness.
I can honestly say that this is a band that will blow you away.
The power and energy this album gives is incredible, and if you’re
into Kreator and Slayer I bet you’ll dig this too.
Verses
Of Steel is an album you have to have regardless which
is your metal orientation. It’s a cult album by a cult band
and it’s gotten three prizes at the Fryderyk Musical Awards
(Polish Grammy’s) for production, composition and best Heavy
Metal album in 2009. If that doesn’t convince you, check
out ACID DRINKERS on http://www.myspace.com/aciddrinkers
and for sure you’ll be proven by this band’s ass kicking
sound and message.
