Normally journalistic honor bars to pull out a high rating when a band too obviously indulges in musical idols. I gonna make an exception of this rule because the realization here is perfectly made and is a capital joke.
Hailing from Essen, Germany UNCHALLENGED HATE are around for almost 10 years and orientate themselves stylistically on old Napalm Death with a pinch of grinding Carcass. Saying, one can expect a mix of crispy, riff-dominated death metal with now and then interspersed blast attacks that get always used appropriate to the songs, not as a matter of principle. Exactly this style of music UNCHALLENGED HATE play for years, ergo, you cannot blame them being trend setters or such stuff. They just consequently play the music they love to create.
Fortunately, that’s what one can hear on The Art Of Method, since almost all songs are really well done. They are equipped with genre-typical traits regarding the playing time of songs and the album itself and never get boring. Tracks such as Cold Times and Ruins kick fucking ass and marginally acquire new impulses from the scene, while other ones like The Path, Wake Up and the high-speed grenade Burial stand for an international standard, positively meant.
Another plus UNCHALLENGED HATE gather with the singing that perfectly suits this style of music, technical skills of all musicians and the brazenly good sound for a non-label production. Just an extended booklet with lyrics would have made me still happier. However, phat 8.5 points are always deserved.
