Raging symphonies of progressive metal at it's best, France's own modern day epic metal act TOXXIC TOYZ slash the music scene with their latest F.E.A.R. Bursting a listenable array of creativity the French four know how to pull it together with bright guitar soloing to a tight filled rhythm section. Track Killing Dreams kicks off with melodic yet seductive chops followed by vocalist Arvi Welsch, who breathes life into each song. Pushing the style to almost a Dream Theatre touch, Broken Mirror jets into a technical yet simplistic approach to a powerfully written song fueling this band as masters of their craft. Overall F.E.A.R. expresses originality, from compositions to recording. Nothing to complex but straightforward progressive metal guaranteed to make their mark outside of the French scene. A band to watch out for in 2009. Can't wait to hear more from this act!
