These thirteen
compiled tracks are a real enjoyment, every single composition
delight the Viking/Pagan fan’s ear. All songs are based
on a high quality level, cling variably, heroic and varied in
speed. Featured tracks partly disperse moistly-cheerful humor,
but they show a widespread alternation in between the Viking Metal
scene. Even a ballad is on board, the well known SKYFORGER
make a thoughtful as well as calm allowance; above that other
established groups like FOREFATHER and FOLKEARTH
are able to elate as accustomed, but also young or not so common
hordes as SLARTIBARTFASS, THARAPITHA
or GALAR manage to give a lasting impression
of their felicitous work.
I like this fourth part of the METALMESSAGE series
from the beginning to the end, no matter if the tracks sound more
Black Metal like or the music turns out to be borne – the
variety concerning instruments and ideas spreads good sentiments.
Over and above, the packaging is really felicitous: Jan-Pascal
Fournier illustrated the cover; Kris Verwimp gets the credits
for the CD label. Initiator Markus Eck did not spare any pains,
applause!
