It’s always a cool thing when someone remains at the wheel and offers the underground the possibility to present themselves on a sampler. And if it’s about bands out of the domestic Baden – so much the better to know who plays outside the entry door. The man behind the scenes of BADEN METAL is called Yücel Erol, the man who pushes the local scene by festivals and a magazine since 2002. His latest baby is named Rise Of The Griffin and offers a sweeping blow in Heavy Metal with nearly all of its different types. And noticeable: some of the bands aren’t that unknown anymore. BITTERNESS rocked the stage at the Fuck The Commerce Open Air this year, LYFTHRASYR shouldn’t escaped your notice while touring with Kataklysm, Aborted and Behemoth, SILENT OVERDRIVE supported Pro-Pain in 2007 and UNLIGHT hit the ranks right at the top in several soundcheck scales. 12 bands remain in the fairway then. Surely, not all of the musical participations are higher class Metal. So, that’s why I want to abstain from an intense review based on a single track. I couldn’t do justice to the one or other band maybe. At least it’s your turn to decide, which band you like to push and support. Rise Of The Griffin gives you hefty stuff well enough. And those of you who dig wickedly presentations: This phat design, the CD comes as a Digi-Pack cross-formatted, earns an extra point. You won’t get this CD by post by mail?
