It's already the fifth album of SHADOW GALLERY but the first I actually got in touch with. Bad luck that I didn't get to know the band earlier, because I seem to have missed a lot. SHADOW GALLERY is magnificant prog metal without boundaries and a very own identity. Fantastic singing, great twin-guitars, complex arrangements and great songwriting are some positive elements in the sound of this band. While Comfort me sounds like a metal-musical featuring additional female vocals, The Andromeda Strain then starts off quite heavy, almost power-metal-like with great choirs. Overall some parts of this release may be a bit cheesy, but don't really bother me as it fits quite into the overall sound of SHADOW GALLERY. Room V is fantastic prog-metal and really worth listening to!
