Strangely bizarre and horrifically enticing France’s own OVERMARS cuts through to the musical chase with erotically brutal themes with their current release of Afflicton, Endocrine…Vertigo. One might hear a touch dark intensity of melodic black avantegarde metal but with a tinge of industrial highlights, but overall a most mysterious album. As to why this puzzling aspect? Musical sounds of arrangements extend to the light creation of death metal to delicate harmonies into the sides of gothic metal realms OVERMARS diminishes any label types. Enchantingly severe weaved compositions
with guitar-structured chords, complex yet simple vocals allure any senses of the sinister nature of the listener inwards. Haunting exploration into the heavy guarded trance of OVERMARS one would have to journey into the music with tracks Deux Mesures De Solitude, En Memoire Des Faibles Oui Ont Survecu A Darwin and Destroy All Dreams (Parts I to V). Confusing with its listening appeal but sure to seduce any listener of extreme metal regardless of the tastes OVERMARS kills its competitors with sheer brilliancy. Well-received and recorded album this band charms seductive interests to new heights.
