2000 was the
last time when NIFELHEIM released their third
full-length album Servants Of Darkness. NIFELHEIM
return in 2007 to bring one hell of a Thrashing/Black Metal album
that reeks of nothing, but pure old school homage and its title
is Envoy Of Lucifer.
Storm Of The Reaper kicks ass one percent during the
whole four-minutes and sixteen seconds. Storm Of The Reaper
is where I hit the repeat button on my CD player. Evocation
Of The End is the shortest song on Envoy Of Lucifer
and it does not disappoint at all, because it's a skull-crusher
anthem. The remaining songs on Envoy Of Lucifer
are of quality just like the ones already mentioned.
The overall sound on Envoy Of Lucifer
is not heavy and the guitars lack in the overall output, which
is due to the production job.
Envoy Of Lucifer is an album that needs
to be picked up along with the prior albums by NIFELHEIM,
Devil's Force, Servants
Of Darkness, and Nifelheim.
