For death metal hardcore elites we have none other than NEAERA raising the listening bar of brutality with their current record Armamentarium. These creative metallers bring musical wreckage of intensity with slashing guitars, pumping rhythms to rage inspired vocals one can only guess a band of this sort generates power to the masses. This being the third installment from NEAERA, the act matures musically as well as their overall presentation. Screaming chaos in the face of the listener’s frontman Benny Hilleke slaps fear into each track that elevates the rest of the bands energy causing a domino effect that is echoed throughout this release. What can be described as a static musical build up of sorts The Orphaning blazes its guitar shredding terror setting loose melodious anarchy. If you think that was it Synergy, Mutiny Of Untamed Minds and The Escape From Escapism ultimately rape the mind into a withering meltdown. Strikingly brutal with creeping atmospheres this band more than delivers it fair share of metal mayhem, Armamentarium as a whole encompasses perfection. Destructively awesome this is a band watch out for in 2009!
