As support act of Kreator and Moonspell I heard about this band for the first time... and for sure not for the last time. With their special dark sound, the guys from Belgium present us a mixture of melodical metal from all styles. Sometimes, the keyboard parts may remember doom metal and also Children Of Bodom in some songs, and the guitar solos could be directly taken from a Swedish Death Metal band. But together, this sound builds an own atmosphere of darkness , mystic and power. In the song A Thousand Sufferings , a great guitar rhythm and lamenting keyboards fit perfectly together. What first seems to be a slow song becomes faster and faster and really bangs your head! Also female vocals are present in this composition of darkness: in the song Run To Heaven , the fast sound of the keyboards and the evil voice of singer Maarten together with the soft female vocals really create a special scenery. A great part is certainly also the cover of the song Amsterdam, originally from the french singer Jaques Brel. Every song is offering us a very interesting arrangement. Sound experiments (like the intro of Juglar of bones, a song that sounds really groovy) are completing the talent of this band and I can just say: go on this way, I'm waiting for the next album! For who wants to know more about this new band, just check out their homepage. Don't miss it!
