What LUNAR
AURORA has that some bands do not, is the ability to
convey through painted musical themes of spirituality within the
fundaments of magic, death and rebirth, power of the soul to carry
this energy within them and the music. Through trial and error
with members and label changes, the band forges ahead into the
unknown despite this uncertainty with the latest material to date
Zyklus.
LUNAR
AURORA reveals a masterpiece marking the way for German
black metal to give the Norway bands a true run for the claim.
Nature sound whispers with beastly breathing twists into a hellish
turn of melodic chaos as the beginning Der Morgen takes
into flight. Keyboardist Tinbar hauntingly strikes chords of ominous
beauty meshing well with the agony guitar workings of Aran/Whyrhd
on Die Nacht. Stunning unforgettable. Downside to Zyklus
is that the vocals are all sung in German and not enough songs
but since the duration for each track consists of over ten minutes
expect for Der Tag making this material more than enough
for the devotees of LUNAR AURORA. Good Job!
