Approaching from the lands of Italy hails a band of quite the unorthodox take on heavy metal today. LAST RITES, strongly resembling such bands as Megadeth and Arch Enemy and gives their take on the sense of old school classic metal. Dave (vocalist and guitarist) does not concentrate on one style of sound on Mind Prison, but yet tests waters with melodic to thrash style vocals, his musical endeavors seem to always come out crisp with a great sound. Skeleton really projects their efforts in making a unique and assorted style, while creating this it makes their sound complete. Jan (guitars) and Dave seem to be very compatible on guitars, never out powering one another, but playing in perfect sync. While Mauro (drums) and Libu (bass) fall right into place with an astounding musical harmony with one another. Thrashy riffs and tight guitars give LAST RITES an edgy muscular sound.

Paradise Lost is a great example of the style and sound that LAST RITES is all about. Dave takes a stunning performance influenced by Megadeth’s vocals, which any lover of Megadeth would surely appreciate. Beyond just the vocals, the band plays very securely together forming a great bond with one another. Hitting borders of taking on the title of a speed metal band, these guys still know how to thrash and present some remarkable tunes. Some mysteriously styled intros add a new flavor to this album that puts a good taste in ones mouth. If you have the need for a solid heavy metal album and are yearning for you next hit, LAST RITES is a killer poison. Know your LAST RITES and keep your eyes on these guys, they are one great act to luck out on.
