What do you get when you cross Slayer with Black Sabbath mixed with a little hard rock grooves? You get KAYSER! If I didn't know any better I would say this was a Tom Araya side-project; I swear this guy sounds just like him. In early June 2004, Spice (ex-Spiritual Beggars), Mattias Svensson (also The Defaced), Bob Ruben (ex-The Mushroom River Band), and Fredrick Finnander (ex-Aeon) came together to create some music so awesome that upon first hearing it, your jaw drops and your mind stops for a moment. Once, you get your ability to think back and stop drooling on yourself, you realize just how great this band really is! Technical riffs that would make Kerry King put the ax up and just stop trying, solos that would put Slash to shame, and hate-filled vocals that would make a grandmother cry. And now in 2005, they are ready to release their first full-length release, Kaiserhof.

Kicking off this masterpiece is, 1919, speeding, thrashing riffs just waiting to be moshed to. At first hearing, anyone that didn't know any better would say this is the latest Slayer release. Then track 2 Lost Cause hits you with a ton of bricks to the face, and keeps bashing and bashing until you have no other thoughts in your head, save one-"Must....keep listening....badass...". With an awe worthy solo that would make Dave Mustaine thrown a hissy fit! Good Citizen (3) is anything but; slowing down and kicking the rock grooves to high velocity. Sing along vocals, malicious melodies, more of those oh-so amazing solos; gives you a feeling of utter bliss. This is one of those albums that can't be listened to only once. Be prepared to listen to this one a few times; hope you're not to busy, 'cause you won’t want to do anything but keep on listening. With every play this album gets better and better; you hear things with every play that you didn't hear the last time. 10 tracks of musical genius! You are no longer in control; your mind has been taken over for the KAYSER-bashin'! Kicking you in the face with every new track; you can't help but love this album! What a masterpiece!!!
