What
a fucking hellish ... um ... blasphemous name is that?*lol* Not
only this name makes mad, the music too. And that my dear I mean
in a positive way! Dunno what sort of connotations I got in my mind
when I heard this name first time. Even when I thought about it
intensively nothing better was coming out. Have you recovered from
the name, the next shock is lurking around the corner while pressing
the play button. The music is exceptional as well.
Founded in 1998 these 4 Erse mates present with Forging
Iron Will their third self-financed demo. To put behind
all possible and impossible musical influences has to be the manifested
ambition. Just doing their own. That’s that. And these guys
made it! HONEY FOR CHRIST offers a wild mixture
of Thrash and Death metal with traditional singing. Doesn’t
work? It works! Surely music and singing couldn’t be more
contradictorily. But it harmonizes excellent.
Opener Forging Iron Will starts out as an absolutely Death
crusher, goes back into groovy mid-tempo fields in between, just
to end fast and intensive as it started. Movements Below The
Surface gets prelude by a great solo and develops into a 7
minutes running and acoustic improved hymn. Just great! Here singer
Jason also spends a few growls, but in general he doesn’t
leave his usual singing traces. Closer The Heretic Hook
kicks ass again badly. And above all Jason’s voice is waving.
This demo is damn fucking too short! But exceptional though. Unbelievable.
Impressing. Finally something new. Probably not intentional but
innovative as well. So, you freaks out there pretending being open
minded: check out HFC!!!
