Coming within a late 90’s frame where such named acts were hitting fronting stages such as the bands of Forbidden, Testament, Overkill and other musical influences from the America’s death metal capital of Tampa Bay, Florida and San Francisco, California; HAUNTED GORGE would have hailed supreme. Combating such emerging forces of melodic death and thrash metal mix HAUNTED GORGE shows a balance of melodic harmonies with set aggression. A band of creative gusto and lyrical finesse gives this outfit a wide appeal of straight forward metal. Being objective here from my stand point the words of the musical content is far advance that what one would expect.

Upon listening with careful view of the word structure I was surprised of how extremely well written the context of what was being conveyed lyrically. For example song Watch Us Die and Empire shows a compare and contrast of religious to political corrupt society. Also breeching a subject of rape (from a victim’s point of view to kill) alongside with death and war. This album provides full assault on diversity and character. As a whole this album spirals into a new breath giving the listener something new and inventive to listen to. On a broad spectrum this band has a good talent to create its own surroundings. Future looks bright for this band.
