Hello and welcome to the Loki show. Yesterday I got a new promo. As I do always with new CD’s, I put them into my CD player. Wow, surprise, surprise, after all these Black-Death-Trash Metal releases I got from NH so far, now one old school rock metal band has found its may into my house. HAREM SCREAM is a cool Canadian band and play really great rock’n’roll. So, when you listen to this band, you will have a nice trip ( I love this fucking great album from the Apokalyptischen Reiter) from now to the past. Hero’s like Ozzy, Alice Cooper, DIO and many more of other legends have had great times with rock. Sex, drugs and always rock’n’roll made their life. So, listen to this music and live your life of freedom and rebellion in the spirit of all the great musicians in the 70’s and the 80’s.
HAREM SCREAM was formed in 1988, after spending many years in the metal band Blind Vengeance. After Harry Hess and Darren Smith drifted into new musical directions, they decided to establish a new band and completed a new line-up with Pete Lesperance and Mike Gionet. They wrote the first songs, which they have put together on 11-song demo at Hess’s 24-track recording studio. This is the music I would like to listen to when I ride my Harley towards west while drinking a sixpack Miller (Fuck NO I never ever would drink this fucking pee, rather great old Whisky from Scotland or Ireland or Candian stuff!). But they do NOT come from the States, they come from the probably most fantastic country of this fucking stupid world. This country where no doors are locked, where crime does not happen that often and everybody has a gun but without shouting somebody down. Therefore they are mounties?
What else I can write about this band? Its fucking cool and great! This guys can play music! Guitars play fantastic melodies, bass and drums do harmonize with the vocals. The frontman sings the songs with so much emotions, like Ozzy did (or still does). Sometimes the band sounds like Gamma Ray. The powerful guitars kick your ass. Romantic and energetic sounds please your ears and emotions move to your heart. I think this is the best music for you and your girlfriend to have a nice evening at sunset. But you can always dance too. (with your girlfriend OR your boyfriend or the girl you have taken with you while riding to the dark great woods of old Canadian forest). But fuck of all these things and listen to it with a big bottle of whisky. I think this music is for all situations. You can dance, drink or sing (but don’t drink and drive!)!
