Coldly
eerie in such a sense this group defies new meaning in the world
of Black Metal, but on the other hand this uniquely tight fitted
group of individuals gratifies beyond what most would think of traditional
dark metal music would be. Not taking away anything musically more
from the realms of extreme metal <CODE> offers
a fresh musical scope with a sense of melodic hidden empowerment
revealed in the band song structures with heavy emphasis of the
rhythm section and vocal style. A kaleidoscope of intense variations
of dynamic drumming, imaginative guitar works to the final equation
of potent vocals. <CODE>’s realism
to their craft begins on a journey into musical consciousness with
track A Cloud Formed Teardrop Asyluma playing with a doom
like essence with a lingering beginning that climaxes into regular
state of harsh music framework. But another thing to mention is
the guitar composition with that song that creates a surrounding
of grind filled chords that strike even the listener to pay listening
heed to as the song leads into the dishing of Aeon In Ciders
for which is an ultimate song of oddity complete!
Most chilling track of <CODE>’s Nouveau Gloaming is the spellbinding Ghost Formula enticing with haunting vocals softly spoken mixed with background dark whispered growls along a steady pace of mysterious guitar chilling riffs in a hypnotic state of abnormal infusion of paranormal attributes. Not bad if you ask me, but nonetheless this innovative variation of musicians ranging from the bands of DHG, Void, Ved Buens Ende and Ulver blend well together creating a band of immense potential giving this new record levels of musical awareness never accomplished by any band that I have came across. Bewilderment, mesmerizing and absorbing <CODE> is a true entity incarnate. |
